

Meet the director
Keira McClements is a theatre professional and educator in the DC area. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.A. in Drama with Honors in Directing and from Johns Hopkins University with a M.S. in Education. As a professional, Keira specializes in directing and actor coaching, as well as producing children's theatre work. Keira has directed a number of plays and musicals including the world premier of Science of Happiness by Naomi Izuka, and mostly notably, she was the assistant director of the world premier of Lucas Hnath's A Doll's House, Pt. 2. She is currently in production for The Rainbow Fish Musical, and Alice in Wonderland, Jr. with her scholars ranging from ages 5-11. Keira is a passionate advocate for theatre education and has dedicated her professional work to providing instruction and opportunities for young scholars to imagine, play, and create performance art at a high level. Her goal is to facilitate student-led theatre work that builds self-confidence, collaboration skills and encourages kids to think outside the box. Keira is excited about the opportunity to meet more scholars around the DMV area and to create meaningful work together!
